The Flinders University has been donated more than several hundred lapel badges dating from 1915 to the present day. A significant part of the collection relates to the First World War period and to charity badges from the 1920s to the 1940s. Another major part of the collection contains badges worn by the students at the University from 1967 to the present day. The badges cover themes such as opposition to Australia's involvement in the war in Vietnam, conservation, political and social issues, feminism and student politics.
