Letter from an unnamed author regarding Bill Reynolds picking up refugees in the Kofuku Maru (Krait), and his meeting with Captain Ivan Lyon with whom he later joined forces - describes the vessel's poor condition and difficulty in reaching Cairns in January 1943. The logs, originally in 3 notebooks, cover the period 12 March to 2 April 1942. They consist of crew list, daily entries as to position, course and general remarks. During this period the vessel was known as Suey Sin Fah.
