The Harold and Mary Cohen collection of Jonathan Williams contains correspondence, especially between both Harold and Mary with Jonathan Williams, and additional correspondence with others connected to The Jargon Society. Additionally, the collection contains much of Jonathan's published poetry, his writings, and interviews. Many of the books in the collection are those published by The Jargon Society, however, a few books of poetry by other authors do appear in the contents of the collection. The collection also contains materials related to the marketing and advertisement of The Jargon Society along with newsletters and book announcements.

Jonathan Williams is a poet, publisher, and photographer. He was educated at St. Albans School, Princeton University, and Black Mountain College, and also studied art and design at the Institute of Design in Chicago.
