Logbook kept aboard the Rosalie, on a voyage from New York to Canton, 16 May 1817-16 May 1818, commanded by Thomas F. Merry, with entries describing daily weather and sea conditions. Also includes a list of "stores for the voyage". Describes 21 Sept. 1817 at anchor at Whampoa, 12 Dec. 1817 Canton to Philadelphia, 20 April 1818 Philadelphia to New York, and 16 May 1818 arrived back in New York. Logbook kept aboard the Abigail, on a voyage from Sag Harbor to Brazille Bank off the coast of Patagonia, 5 Aug. 1818-8 July 1819, commanded by Jeremiah Post, describing daily weather and sea conditions. Also includes a list of "stores for the voyage". Describes 30 Nov. 1818 at False Bank, 12 Dec. 1818 at Main Bank, 14 Jan. 1819 Whaling on the False Bank, 25 Jan. 1819 at Brazille Bank, 10 May 1819 Brazil Bank to Sag Harbor, and 8 July 1819 Gardiners Bay.
