Papers of Peter King, 1940-2005. 1940-2005.

Papers include: subject files, photographs, newsletters, weekly bulletins for residents of Burgmann College; "My dear Brother" letters from the Bishop of Bathurst to his clergy and circulars relating to Burgmann College, the College of Ministry, St Marks Canberra, the Anglican church, Diocese of Bathurst and Carcoar. The collection also includes journals written by King while serving in Canberra, Orange, Cooming Park, Dubbo, Trundle and Peak Hill. The journals provide a daily record of King's work. Appendices include copies of eulogies given at funerals of parishoners, extracts from parish records and items of local interest. Also included are photocopies of the working diaries relating to "Coombing Park' Station property near Carcour, New South Wales, for the period 1943-1945, and photographs of the Bloxsome family, the Danieletto family, and Coombing Park.

Anglican clergyman. Born in 1945 at Coombing Park near Carcoar. Ordained as an Anglican priest in 1979, King was attached to the Blayney Parish. He studied at the College of Ministry, St Mark's, Canberra and Burgmann College, A.N.U., in 1985-87. During this time he acted as an unoffical part-time college chaplain.
