Two folders of radio talks by J.P. Marcus on the Tivoli Theatre in Adelaide. Autograph album of Martin Marcus which includes personalities mentioned in the Tivoli talks. Other radio broadcasts made in World War II include one by Graham Kingsford Smith. These are mainly about theatre events, personalities and naval battles during the war years. One folder of family history notes about the Jewish family of Philip Kauffmann. This includes details of the Jewish community mainly in Adelaide. There is a photocopy of a photograph of Teresa Kauffmann wearing an ornate wig to symbolise her membership in the Jewish community. Twenty-eight cm of radio talks and plays by Royston Marcus, three cuttings books dated 1934, 1936-1937 and 1938 about the theatre, and obituary of William Morris Hughes. The 1938 cutting book, includes a program for a play 'Love Me Sailor' based on Robert Close's famous novel. This consignment includes a collection of Royal Australian Air Force radio programmes.

Martin Marcus was associated with the theatre and for many years was manager for Harry Rickard, the theatre entrepreneur. Martin Marcus died in 1927. J.P. Marcus (ca. 1896-1963), radio broadcaster during World War II was keen on the theatre and sport (rowing). Alex Marcus, a historian, is Martin Marcus' grandson.
