ALS, 1889 July 15 : [New York] to Clara Clemens.

Clemens writes to his daughter about a train wreck in which "that darling little girl was burnt ... Her mother [aunt] Mrs. Thompson, lost every scrapof clothing." He comments on Beethoven's Seventh Symphony which cousin Susy played for him.
