Collection of documents relating to the ecclesiastical and civil history of Nueva Vizcaya from 1595-1750. Consists of reports, correspondence, petitions, decrees, and other items concerned chiefly with the work of Jesuit and Franciscan missionaries, but also with governmental and military matters. Contains Martín Duarte's account of the Ávila-Santarén expedition. Substantially identical with Volumes 3 and 4 of Documentos para la Historia de México, 4th ser., Mexico, 1857.
