Vindicias de la Verdad. Convento de Nuestro Padre San Francisco : Mexico City : ms., 1774 Jan. 8.

A protest by the Franciscan friar, Rosa Figueroa, against efforts to extinguish the Indian languages, which had culminated in a report of Archbishop Lorenzana to Charles III and the resultant royal decree of April 16, 1770. Incidentally includes a defense of the work of the Franciscans in America and of the cultural claims of Indians and Creoles, with lists of American-born archbishops, bishops, and other outstanding figures.

He served as lecturer for the order, superior of the Colegio at Tlatelolco, and head of the missionary province of Santo Evangelio, archivist and Inquisition familial.
