Record of his journey from Kentucky by way of Independence, Mo., the Blue and Platte Rivers, South Pass, Ft. Bridger, Salt Lake City, Bear River, and along the Humboldt. The journal ends abruptly as Eastin and a small party take a cut-off above the river. Extensive comments on Indians, geography, flora and fauna, diseases, etc.
