Relating mainly to his career as professor of finance and statistics, University of California, Berkeley, they include Mss. of writings and speeches, lecture notes and course outlines, reprints of articles, pamphlets, clippings and a few letters, including one from George C. Pardee. Included in carton 2 are two letterpress copy books kept while superintendent of census for the 1st district of California, Aug. 1899-June 1900. (v. 1 & 2).
