Overland diary from Iowa to California via the Platte River, Forts Kearny and Laramie, Salt Lake City, and Simpson's Cutoff, describing Fort Kearny, experiences with Indians, stop-over in Salt Lake City attending a service at which Brigham Young presided. Note to her sister at beginning of volume, Nov. 25, l860, Columbia Hill, Nevada Co., California. With this, loose passages from another diary, with entries for Aug. l6-23 describing end of journey and efforts to start a school for children.
