J. Eugene Wukasch collection, 1900-1996 1930-1987.

J. Eugene Wukasch (1921-2001) earned his B.S.Ar.E. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1943. He established practice as Wukasch & Associates, AIA, PE, Architect and Consultants at 2000 Guadalupe in Austin, Tex. and was involved in local building preservation activity, including the movements to preserve the Nueces County Courthouse and the Grove Drug Building. He died November 2001. Drawings, presentation boards, and papers illustrate the architectural and structural engineering career of J. Eugene Wukasch.

J. Eugene Wukasch (1921-2001) was born July 12, 1921 in Austin, Texas. He earned his B.S.Ar.E. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1943 and worked as a draftsman in the office of Preston M. Geren, AIA in Fort Worth from 1947-1948 before moving to Houston to work for Staub &amp; Rather, AIA from 1949-1950 in their supervision and drafting department. He then returned to Austin in 1950 to work for Jessen, Jessen, Millhouse &amp; Greeven, AIA for two years, being involved in all project phase...
