A manuscript case report for a phrenological reading of the character and mental development of Augusta L. Sawyer of Andover, Massachusetts. Bound in illustrated printed wrappers with advertisements (works on phrenology) and imprint: "Fowler and Wells, 308 Broadway, New York". Accompanied by her carte-de-visite (96 x 59 mm. photograph mounted on card 107 x 61 mm. with imprint on verso: Marshall & Co., Studio Building, Cor. Tremont & Bromfield Sts., Boston) and return-address envelope with postage stamps and dated cancellation.
