Philip Creer papers, 19--?.

Philip Douglas Creer (1903-1993), educated in Pennsylvania, was head of the Dept. of Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design for twenty-three years before serving as dean of the School of Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin from 1956 to 1967. The Philip Creer papers consist of 2.5 linear ft. of papers, 204 photographic prints, 48 rolls of negatives, 66 slide transparencies, 25 rolls of drawings (ca. 147 sheets), and 11 flat drawings.

The School of Architecture was established within The University of Texas Engineering Department in 1910, when Dean T. U. Taylor of the Department of Engineering appointed Hugo F. Kuehne as the first faculty member of the School of Architecture.
