These papers include biographical information of Fred Lucas and college research papers (including one on the Treaty of Versailles) written by Mary Lucas. A particular part of the collection includes biographical and genealogical materials about Madame Sophie Sosnowski, an immigrant to Georgia from Poland. Frederick William Lucas (1894-1966) was born in Athens, Georgia to John Hamlin Lucas and Kate Walker Moreno Lucas on 4 September 1894. His family, which include one brother, Theodore Moreno Lucas, and two sisters Kate Lucas and Mary Lucas (Butler), moved to Memphis, Tennessee in 1900.
