Frederick William Lucas (1894-1966) was born in Athens, Georgia to John Hamlin Lucas and Kate Walker Moreno Lucas on 4 September 1894. His family, which include one brother, Theodore Moreno Lucas, and two sisters Kate Lucas and Mary Lucas (Butler), moved to Memphis, Tennessee in 1900.
