Amory A. Lawrence's journal of a trip to Europe, 9 July - 11 Sept. 1867, along with a journal from 1 Jan. 1870 - 31 June 1872, kept during his last semester as a student at Harvard University (Class of 1870), on trips to the mid-Atlantic states and other locations, and at the beginning of his business career in the firm of Lawrence and Co., his family's dry-goods commission and manufacturing house in Boston, Mass. Also, an account book containing a record of his personal expenses from Dec. 1878 - 1 Jan. 1890, including household expenses, charity, stocks, investments, and bonds. The account book also contains schedules of property and income; accounts of Lawrence and Co.; inventories of houses; and his portion of the estate of Amos Lawrence.
