Original typescript (205 p.) and typed copy (181 leaves) of Mr. Madson's reminiscences dictated to his daughter, Mrs. Marie McFall, circa 1916. It documents his early life in Denmark, twelve years at sea, four years in New Zealand, immigrating in 1871 with his wife to America from Denmark, and farming near Fergus Falls, Minn. before homesteading in 1878 near Wheatland, N.D. There are also several newspaper clippings on the Madson family.
