Papers relating to the leave of absence of Carr from Trinity College for Confederate service, and his resignation from the Confederate Army because of ill health. Two items concern the financial affairs of Trinity College. Included also is a typewritten copy of Carr's journal, with scattered entries covering 1855-1878, although the great part of it relates to the Civil War.
