Ca. 400 items, 3 reels of microfilm, 4 volumes including correspondence, clippings, biographical data re: H. Paul Douglass by his sister; family histories by his mother, Maria Greene Douglass and father, Truman Orville Douglass; photos, wills, honors and tributes, appreciation book, writings, and scrapbook. The items relate to the school days of Douglass, his career with the American Missionary Association and his retirement as Superintendent of schools. Included among the papers is a bibliography of his writings, and interesting data on his parents' respective families. The biographical and autobiographical items have been microfilmed, and the Metropolitan Pittsburgh Church Study (1948) also exists in the collection on microfilm. The parental autobiographies are included in both negative and positive microfilm copies. Douglass' thesis is a holograph (The English Christian Socialist Movement of the Mid-Century -- 1896). The appreciation book was signed by the representatives of Belgium, France, and Great Britain in attendance at the Inter-Allied Conference on World Agriculture in 1919.
