United States Army Thirtieth Division souvenir booklet, 1918.

Souvenir booklet of the 30th Division of the U.S. Army, which was constituted of National Guard troops hailing from North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee and augmented by draft troops from other states. The booklet recounts the military activities of the 30th Division in World War I, covering its successful assault on the Hindenburg Line and capture of Brancourt and Premont, France, in October of 1918. Included in the booklet are transcripts of letters written by military officials and the mayor of Busigny, France, commending the division for its valor; a hand-drawn map of the Hindenburg Line; and a cartoon depicting the consternation of German troops reeling from the assault of the 30th. Accompanying the booklet are clippings of two newspaper stories pertaining to the 30th Division.
