Interview with George Ferguson, an executive at Caltex Petroleum Corporation, discussing his educational background, his employment with Texaco, his transfer to Caltex, his experiences in Australia, the origins of Caltex, Caltex (Australia), his activities during World War II, expatriates in Caltex, Ampol, Alba, H.C. Sleigh, and Kurnell refinery. He also discusses Navy fuel oil contracts, his promotion to president of Caltex East, Caltex in Japan, nationalization, his promotion to president of Caltex West, Texaco's and Socal's re-entry into Europe in 1967, and Caltex's move from New York to Dallas.

The baby in the certificate was christened John Dunmore Lang Ferguson, by the Rev. J. D. Lang on board the ship, the Stirling Castle.
