The collection contains uncut, partially cut, and cut but untrimmed portraits in carte-de-visite format. None are mounted on cards. Subjects include the 19th century caricaturist for "Punch" magazine, John Leech, and his son and daughter; the Australian statesman, Sir Henry Parkes; and several unidentified aristocratic men, women, and boys.
