Southeast Community College photograph collection, 1908-1959.

This photograph collection includes images coal company towns in Harlan County, Kentucky. Approximately 400 photographs are of the construction of Benham, a town built in the 1920s by International Harvester. Also included are eighteen photographs of Coxton, built by the Melcroft Coal Company in the 1920s; and approximately fifty photographs of the construction of Lynch, built by United States Steel (1917-1920s).
