This is a collection of unit histories, intelligence reports, plans, after action reports, journals, and war diaries which document the operations of several United States Army armored and infantry units during World War II. Information in these records may include dates of actions, troop movements, troop strength, numbers of artillery and armored units, casualties, ammunition expended, vehicular losses, names of unit commanders, decorations awarded, accounts of battles, and reactions of participants. There are also copies of captured German documents including records of the Department of Foreign Armies East (FREMD HEERE OST), part of the General Staff of the German army.
