Interview of Matthew Dwayne Talton, USCG, AMT2, including brief history of his USCG career and training in helicopter rescue missions; volunteered for Katrina rescues, he participated in six to eight missions as helicopter crew flight mechanic using litter hoists; on the 8th October they landed at Jacksonville, Fla., behind hurricane Katrina's track on a military transport helicopter (H-60); next stopping at Mobile, Ala., after dark., and then to Biloxi, Miss., where Talton and crew began rescue lifts on litter hoists ten to fifteen stories high, taking people back to higher ground at Mobile.
