Covers the period when Kwetkowski took correspondence courses from the University of Michigan for mathematics, his time in the CCC, to his enlistment in 1941. Collection contains correspondence, examination results for the civil service test, menus, coupon, store receipts, course in auto mechanics for Civilian Conservation Corps (lectures no. 1 - 7) plus graded tests, first aid booklet, resumes, typed looseleaf sheet for a draft questionnaire submitted some time in June 1941, and other materials relating to Kwetkowski's life and personal interests.
