Maynard, Lyman, 1801-1862

Lyman Maynard (1801-1862) was a descendant of John Maynard, early proprietor of Marlborough, Mass. He was born in Shrewsbury, Mass., and entered the Universalist ministry prior to 1824. In 1831, he joined a group that formed the Mass. Association of Restorationists, preaching to Unitarian societies. He ministered in numerous towns, including Medway, Oxford, Hingham, and Needham, Mass., and Winchester and Amherst, N.H.
