This collection of correspondence includes letters of condolence, 1900, to Dunn on the death of his mother, Mary Stiles Foster Dunn (1830-1900). There are also two letters from Dunn to his mother dated 1896 and 1900, and a photostatic copy of Dunn's will, 1930.

Dwight Foster Dunn (1865-1936), son of Robinson Potter Dunn (1825-1867), was born in Providence, R.I., and resided in Worcester, Mass., for many years before moving to Rome, where he died.
