Papers, 1860s-1870s.

The bulk of the collection consists of the manuscript copies of speeches delivered by Bullock, many of which were later printed. Included in the collection of speeches is his famous address, "The Centennial Situation of Women" (1876). Most of the correspondence dates from the 1860s and 1870s and deals with state and national politics, Bullock's speaking engagements, and social functions. There is very little personal correspondence. There are letters and documents from his bankers, and reports concerning Amherst College.
