Consists of letters, copies of letters, a review and other writings of Henry Miller. Includes the following: one letter dated 23 July 1938 to Henri Fluchère, containing biographical material for Fluchère to use in the preface to the French edition of Tropic of Cancer (Paris: Obelisk Press, [1934]); three letters of 1938 to Ralph Thompson, in which were enclosed a brochure advertising the periodical Volontés (to which Miller contributed) and a brochure advertising the English edition of Erich Gutkind's The Absolute Collective: a philosophical attempt to overcome our broken state (trans. from German by Marjorie Gabain. London: The C.W. Daniel company ltd., [1937]); an article "New Reviews" (1938?); and tables of contents for "Plasma and Magma" and "America, the air-conditioned nightmare."

Ralph Thompson (1904-1979) was an American author, teacher and editor.
