Fargo Main Avenue urban renewal records, 1955-1978.

Official records of the agency documenting its administration of the Main Avenue urban renewal project. The records closely follow the original series and folder organization. The very detailed meeting minutes also cover the period of the first urban renewal project (Fourth Street ND R-1). Many of the series consist of official forms and other documents concerning the project. The extensive agency correspondence consists of both incoming and outgoing letters. They are arranged chronologically, with several subseries for the Corps of Engineers, HUD, and Mayor Herschel Lashkowitz. The various appraisals include photographs of every building in the project area. Series weeded include relocation, finance, insurance, maps and architectural drawings.
