Material in folders marked, "From Smulikowski (Selected literature and data), Glauconite, Phosphate, etc." includes information on the American Petroleum Institute Project 51, conducted at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Material in folders entitled "Gulf Oil" documents Bramlette's work for that company and includes correspondence with Hollis D. Hedberg, notes dated August-October, 1945 documenting Bramlette's travels on behalf of the company in Colombia. This material also includes a 1945 report by Bramlette entitled, "Review of the Oil Possibilities of Yemen."
