ALS, 1781 July 8 : Amsterdam, to Jonathan Trumbull.

Artist John Trumbull writes to his Father, Jonathan Trumbull, American lawyer and poet. The son had been studying art with Benjamin West in London in 1780, to continue from 1782-1785. Here he writes to his Father about a financial matter that he had tried to settle in London at a certain Counting House, without success.
