William Cyril O'Driscoll was born in Charleston in 1881. He attended the South Carolina Military Academy (which became the Citadel in 1910), and graduated from the Medical College of the State of South Carolina in 1905. Olin Burnham Chamberlain was born in Charleston, South Carolina on June 25, 1892 to Norman A. and Julia Davis Chamberlain.
