Fayette Hildreth Reed was a paymaster of the Southern Pacific Company and its affiliates (Northern Pacific Transportation Co., Oregon Railway & Navigation Co., Oregon & California Railway Co., 1872-1914. Later he served as a director of the Southern Pacific Company, 1920-1949. He lived in Portland, Oregon, and San Francisco.
