Abuses in English convict prisons, 1877-1902.

The 1877 document relates of abuses in English Convict Prisons and concerns that the prisons need more satisfactory inspection. The document was signed by John Bright, John T. Hibbert and Joseph W. Pease. The 1902 document states that William Tallack attempted to collect signatures of influential people regarding abuses in English prisons in 1877 and had collected those noted, but when the English House Secretary expressed disapproval, no further signatures were collected though the matter was brought to the attention of the Howard Association.
