One vol. containing the notes of the proceedings of the Council (June 1, 1749 to May 23, 1750) and the Assembly (May 31, 1749 to April 20, 1750) of the Massachusetts General Court, the legislative body of Massachusetts. The notes were apparently taken by the colonial secretary or his clerk to prepare the official Proceedings.

The Governor and Company of the Massachusetts Bay, chartered by the English Crown in 1629, sat as a General Court, which after the 1630 emigration to America became the government of the Massachusetts Bay colony.
