Frederick Frahm Papers 1982-2004.

The collection includes Frederick Frahms original manuscripts, engravings, correspondence, recordings and publications. Most of the collection pertains to Frahms creative output as a liturgical composer including anthems, motets, psalmody and settings of hymn-tunes for keyboard instruments. In addition there is a substantial repertoire of secular music for solo voice in the form of songs and song cycles, as well as opera, chamber music and music for orchestra. The recordings document premiere performances, some of which feature the composer as a performer, as well as other distinguished performers and ensembles. Many of the compositions completed between the years 1983 and 1993 were written while in attendance at Pacific Lutheran University. The published works are collected from a number of publishers in the US and Europe.
