Photocopy of two letters, Jan. 24 and Jan. 27, 1936, from Elmer Underwood to University of Kansas Professor Robert Taft, giving information for Taft's history of American photography. Included with the second letter was a 1924 or 1925 essay written by Underwood about the history of his company, Underwood and Underwood, from 1882 to the mid 1920s and an addenda, written in 1936, bringing the history up to date.
