In a 1942 letter, Eliot mentions a reimbursement of $10 for expenditures for conference. He briefly comments on the Dexters' account of European travels and the day's news which seem to confirm "apprehensions." In a letter, 1942 October 23, Eliot writes concerning an enclosed photo of himself. (Photo not included.) On a postcard,1946 May 16, Eliot writes, "Dear Mr. Sec, A nice, neat job for the Bunker Hill Mon[ument Association] booklet. May its circulation repay your skilfull editing and recruit the list of members. Cordially yours, Samuel A. Eliot. May 16, 46."
