The collection contains materials pertaining to railroad financial activities, mergers, and related correspondence that was filed with or produced by the Interstate Commerce Commission. Most records date from the 1970s and early 1980s. Finance dockets deal mostly with financial agreements between railroad or labor interests. The legal claims deal with various disputes between railroad companies and railroad labor, and disputes between railroad companies.
