Lives of saints [microform], [160-?].

Lives and martyrdoms of various saints of the type "Chti minei" (Reading Menaion) for the first half of the ecclesiastical year, from September 1st through February 29th. Abbreviated life for every day, followed by readings from a paterikon. Included are the following Slavic saints: St. Gleb, son of Vladimir (Volodymer) (Sept. 5th) on leaves 8b-9b; leaf 44b, mention of St. Wenceslas, Duke of Bohemia (Sept. 28th); leaf 157a-b, St. Martyrs Mercuria and George (I︠a︡roslav), son of Vladimir (Volodymer) (Nov. 26th); leaf 279b, St. Cyril, Apostle of the Slavs (Feb 14th). The scribe apparently could not read the source text very well, as he made a lot of mistakes in copying. Incomplete (the beginning and some leaves throughout the manuscript are missing). Without inscriptions. Ornamented headings and initials.

1 v. (305 leaves) ; 30 cm.
