This collection consists of a microfilm copy of sixteen letters in Latin, French, and English, written between James Edward Oglethorpe and Count Nicolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf. An index (in German) appears at the beginning of the roll. The letters concerns the Moravian immigration to Georgia during the 18th century. These letters were microfilmed by the Unitätsarchiv der Evangelischen Brüder-Unität, Moravian Archives in Herrnhut, Germany.

James Edward Oglethorpe (1696-1785) was an English statesman and soldier who served as a member of Parliament for thirty-two years.
