Service book in the Moldavian tradition, produced for a monastery. Includes 4 leaves added later with text on the liturgy (damaged by dampness); instructions for priests by St. Basil; Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom (lacking beginning which was located between present leaves 9 and 10); Liturgy of St. Basil; Liturgy of Pre-Sanctified Gifts; leaves 59b-69b, a Romanian text in Cyrillic. The dedication preceding the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom refers to a bishop, an unnamed tsar and benefactors of monastery. Three inscriptions. Leaf 17b names in Romanian (Cyrillic); leaf 4b, inscription in Romanian from 1904 signed by Michai Hondarneu; leaf 61b, in Romanian also from 1904, refers to Michai Hondarneu, parish priest of Loralui. Ornamented headings and initials. 8 leaves per quire, signed with Cyrillic letters.

The Scrinium of the Roman Church existed from the 4th century, functioning as both library and archives. In the 6th century it was under the Primicerius Notariorum (see ID VATV032-A).
