Letters of Paul R. Forbes to his cousin Ethel Forbes concern the acquisition of genealogical papers relating to the Forbes family. There is also some correspondence about stock investments and the financial status of various Forbes family members. Also included is correspondence relating to the estate of Charles S. Forbes and an 1893 letter from John Murray Forbes to Secretary of the Treasury Charles S. Hamlin about the depressed U.S. ship-building industry.
