The Samuel Torgerson collection consists primarily of the incoming personal correspondence of Torgerson, dating from 1895 to 1939. Much of the correspondence was from prominent North Dakotans, and there is an alphabetical index of the correspondents. Besides the correspondence, a biographical sketch of Samuel Torgerson is included, written in 1952 by Marion Richards, his daughter. Two folders of Torgerson's speeches and writings are also included.
