Protest against the seizure of the schooner Diana, 1778 May 20, Gloucester.

Sailing from Cadiz, Spain, with a cargo of salt, wine, and fruit, the schooner was seized off Cape Ann (Dec. 1777) by an English brig, the Cabott, commanded by Edmond Dodd, who carried the vessel to Halifax where it was condemned and sold. Recorded by James Porter, notary public.
