Born on March 13, 1917 in Houghtom, Mich. Wyllys R. "Bill" Seaman received his 2nd Lieutenant's commission through the ROTC training program at Michigan College, now Michigan Technical University, and graduated in 1939. Served on active duty until June 1941, when he took a job as a metallurgist in Wallace, Idaho.
