Turner Cassity papers, 1948-2009.

The collection consists of papers of Turner Cassity from 1948-2009. The papers include materials relating to his years at Millsaps College (1948-1951), including photocopies of poems and articles published by the student newspaper; correspondence mainly pertaining to the writing, publishing, and reading of his poety (ca. 1972-1989); and typescripts of an unpublished autobiography (1988) and of several of his published works. The collection also includes collected poetry of others, photographs, clippings, and miscellaneous printed materials by and about Cassity.
